Quality Oversight Committee
The committee is charged with setting and enforcing standards regarding souring of content, ethical standards and acceptable levels of performance.

In 2007, the committee approved an arrangement with Harvard Medical School under which most of the outside medical reviewers are affiliated with the school.

In 2005, the committee established that we would adhere to newly released NCQA Quality Plus standards for review, update and usability testing for interactive tools.

In 2004, the committee established that evidence-based medicine would be the standard source for all medical content.

In 2003, the committee decided to meet the 53 URAC Health Web Site accreditation standards and since then the committee has overseen the annual reaccreditation process.

Our ethics policies are contained throughout the About This Site section and the committee approves all changes to those policies.
Regular duties of the committee

Members of the committee meet by telephone and e-mail regularly, at least once a quarter.

The members review site performance indicators.

The members review feedback and complaints received from clients and end users.

The members implement interventions as needed to improve site operations and in situations that pose a threat to health/welfare of users.

Clint Crowe, Vice President, Electronic Solutions, StayWell Custom Communications
Having honed his skills at large companies like McKesson and start-ups like Galvanon, Inc., Clint comes to StayWell Custom Communications through the acquisition of Greystone.Net. Clint brings more than 15 years experience in healthcare technology and Web-based strategy and implementation. At Galvanon, Inc., Clint’s responsibilities include overseeing enterprise implementations, sales support and customer support teams.
As a member of the Web Solutions Office of McKesson Provider Technologies, he was directly responsible for assuring customers understood the Web tools and implementation strategy for McKesson products, including Physician and Patient Portals and mobile technologies. Most recently he was the CTO for Greystone.Net managing Web based applications and client content delivery.
Clint also held a senior level position with First Consulting Group assisting customers with Web-based strategies and implementation. While Vice President of Internet Development at Epic Learning, Clint’s team was the 21st Century Revolutionaries grand prize winner of the 2000 Growing with Technology Awards sponsored by Cisco Systems and INC. magazine. They still hold two patents for development of the “homeroom” e-learning portal.
Ben Dansie, Vice President, Operations, StayWell Interactive
Responsible for the day-to-day management of StayWell Interactive which includes leading all aspects of the technical and non-technical development, hosting and maintenance functions. Ben has over nine years of experience in all facets of web development including client management, project management, graphic/user interface design, site/system architecture, implementation, testing and deployment as well as significant experience in website and web application hosting. Ben has held various Microsoft certifications and also attained a Bachelor of Science degree in eBusiness from the University of Phoenix.
JoAnn E. Eudes, RN, MS Vice President, Clinical Content, StayWell Custom Communications
JoAnn brings to StayWell Custom Communication more than 30 thirty years of nursing experience. She started her nursing career as a Lieutenant in the Navy Nurse Corps and subsequently has held various leadership and clinical roles in many healthcare organizations. As Director of Education at Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham , she was responsible for planning and implementing education programs for physicians, patients, and over 1400 employees.
JoAnn was an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska College of Nursing, where she received the Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year Award. Throughout her nursing career, JoAnn has always had a passion for patient and consumer health education. She holds a master’s degree in nursing and has many years of experience in medical, surgical, and critical care settings.
Sara M. Foster, RN, MPH, Director, Clinical Content, StayWell Custom Communications
The daughter of a nurse and an educator, Sara has been interested in nursing, medicine, and education most of her life. Prior to nursing school, she earned a degree in education, so patient education has been a natural part of her nursing practice.
Sara has spent many years in critical care nursing, primarily in the specialty of cardiovascular surgical ICU in academic medical center settings. She was certified in critical care nursing by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses for 21 years until leaving active clinical practice. She has also held a management position at the Emory Heart Center, where she developed patient and staff educational materials.
She co-authored a self-paced learning program for heart failure patients that was used in a joint venture educational program with United Healthcare. Sara has been a freelance medical writer and editor, giving her experience in writing and developing health content for patients and consumers. She holds a master’s degree in public health, in the area of health policy and management. Sara continues to teach CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) classes several times each year in the hospital setting.
Ed Rademaekers, Vice President, Editorial, StayWell Custom Communications
Responsible for overseeing all new content development and updating of existing content, including medical review, for StayWell Solutions Online. He is also responsible for overseeing StayWell Solutions Online’s privacy practices.
Ed joined StayWell in 1998. He assumed his present role with the Electronic Solutions Group in March 2004. He developed the original online versions of several of the databases that appear on StayWell. Prior to joining StayWell, Ed was a newspaper editor and online news executive. He is a graduate of Marquette University.
